Qianyuan ZHANG, the one and only Suona Artist winning both in Golden Bell Award and Wenhua Award which are the highest Chinese Awards; winning the First Prize of 35th International Youth Art Festival Competition, the First Prize of 2008 Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, UK, and the First Prize of 2011 Uzbekistan International Music Festival.

Qianyuan ZHANG is currently associate professor Suona at The China Conservatory. She’s the first Suona Artist who received the funding of Stage Performance Artist Project from the China National Arts Fund.

As a new-generation-Suona-Artist, She has successfully debuted numerous contemporary Suona works, recorded and released by People’s Music Publishing House and Beijing Universal Music Press; She has been invited to perform with Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra for the Suona Concerto “Huan Feng” wrote by composer Qin Wenchen, to be recorded and released by NAXOS; this recording has soon after won the Best Original Classic Music Album in the 2nd China Music Industry Committee Award.

As a soloist, Qianyuan ZHANG has performed world-wide. She has worked with China National Symphony Orchestra, National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Colonne, La Scala Orchestra,  Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Opera House Orchestra, Ningbo Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Qingdao Symphony Orchestra, Tianjin Symphony Orchestra, Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Xinjiang Philharmonic Orchestra, Nanchang Symphony Orchestra, Guiyang Symphony Orchestra,  Jiangsu Chinese Orchestra, Zhejiang Chinese Orchestra and other Orchestras. She has worked with distinguished Conductors and Composers such as Chen Xieyang, Cao Peng,  Zhang Guoyong, Ye Cong, Hu Yongyan, Xu Zhijun, Tang Muhai, Jin Ye, Liu Ju, Shao En, Lin Daye, Zhu Man, Yan huichang, Liu Sha, Qin Wenchen, Wen Deqing, Zhou Long, Zhu Xiaogu, Zhu Shirui, Li Shaosheng, Luo Maishuo, Li Yuanqing and so on.

Qianyuan ZHANG is devoted to bring Traditional Chinese Music Culture to every corner in the world: She has been invited to give performance on the 50th Anniversary Concert for Diplomatic Ties between France and China, the Opening Concert of the Belt&Road International Music Festival in 2017&2018; Beijing Modern Music Festival Opening Concert 2018 and so on.
